Welcome to Watermedia Cafe!

Please Join Us!

Watermedia Cafe is a new cyber cafe catering to those with a passion for watermedia painting. This Cafe is a meeting place for watermedia artists and enthusiasts with similar interests; a communication hub, a vehicle for learning, sharing, and being recognized by peers and stirring interest in collectors. It is a site where watermedia artists can communicate with others of a similar sort, a cyber version of late 19th and early 20th century cafes in Paris where artists met with artists, writers, publishers, scholars and philosophers - creating schools of thought and styles and defining their own contemporary art environment. If you are an artist, collector or just an admirer with a passion for watermedia, no matter what your level of expertise, please join us! Registration is FREE and all the special features of the site will only be available to registered users, so please go ahead and register now.  For a look at the gallery please click on the gallery link in the top menu. The images in the gallery are various paintings by registered users. All registered users are welcome to post digital images of their watermedia work absolutely free in a gallery bearing your name and contact information. Once you have checked out the gallery go ahead and take a look around, vote in the poll, check out the links page, the calendar page, or if you want, go ahead and post a comment or an image, or view a demo on the forum. The theme here, is passion for watermedia and all of its interesting facets whether it be transparent, opaque or mixed. We have a forum for dialog over watermedia techniques, critiques, demonstrations, styles, palettes, papers, brushes, paint manufacturers, materials or just anything having to do with the common interest of painting with watermedia and we have confidence that those with passion for watermedia will make Watermedia Cafe a great place to learn, share, exhibit and promote or just check in now and then to see what is going on in the world of watermedia. So check it out and leave some feedback if you'd like. If you like Watermedia Cafe please send a link to someone you know that would enjoy it too. You see, the development of this site will be an ongoing process with evolvement determined much by the users who frequent it. We have some great ideas and I'm sure you do too.

Thanks,
